Sara's Surprise

Sara wanted to go camping with friends for her birthday this year, but every time we tried to coordinate with families, vacation plans got in the way.  So instead I let her think we were still trying to figure out the camping thing, and threw a surprise party for her instead.  Fortunately her friends could make the surprise, so it ended up being a really fun night.

By the time Sara arrived home for the surprise, she had started to become suspicious, so although she may not have been 100% surprised, she was definitely happy.

We have a rule in our house that you can't watch a PG-13 movie until you are 13.  Even then, we don't encourage a lot of PG-13 movies, but Sara had read the Hobbit two years ago and had been waiting to see the movie.  We thought we would end her party with a showing of the first Hobbit movie.  So after two years of waiting, what does Sara do,  she falls asleep.  Go figure.  I think she woke up as the last kid's parents showed up to take him home.  I love Sara, she's awesome.

Happy Birthday cutie.
