Our Easter Weekend in Arkansas with the Christensens

I need to figure out a way to change the music on these video slideshows.
And, Yes, I made another book.  I really need to stop, but making books is
so much fun.  Thanks Mel and Dee for an awesome weekend.

Another Year in Clovis

So, the scramble came and went, and after hours of prayer and discussion, it looks like we are going to stay in the Air Force.  This has definitely been a humbling process.  If any of you heard me talk about my frustrations with the military way of doing things, you would understand why I say that.  The good news is that Chad can apply for residency programs in the Air Force this June, and by December we will know if he has been selected for Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Radiology, or whatever the Air Force decides.  He is planning to apply for multiple programs so that we have a back up plan in case Orthopedics doesn't work out for us.  We decided that if there was still a chance that he could get into an Orthopedics program with the military, then we would go for it.  If he still doesn't get in, then we are no worse off then we are today but our financial situation is better.  The sad news is that we don't get to build our new house and residency is still one more year away.

We want to thank all of you who have been so supportive and have prayed for us.  We feel good about this decision and know that there is a purpose for it.  We have found an incredible amount of comfort in what has been a very stressful time, so thanks.  We hope that next December will bring exciting news, but until then we will enjoy another day in Clovis.

Let the Scramble Begin

Okay on your mark, get set, Scramble. . . . . .

For those of you who haven't heard, Chad found out today that he did not Match in the Orthopedic Program he had applied to in San Antonio. So. . . this is where you start to scramble and pray that there is a program out there that didn't fill, and wants you. . . . (Or) we decide to stay with the military and apply to their Orthopedics Program next year. You know, when things don't always work out the way you had planned, you wonder sometimes what it is you aren't getting right. Chad is starting to wonder if he's just not supposed to do Orthopedics. I guess only time will tell. We will keep you posted, but for the next two days, we will probably be out of commission while Chad is working on contacting programs and reapplying. Wish us luck.

Family Photos

We got a new digital camera about a week ago and decided to try it out.  We took a few photos on Sunday in front of a white wall in our family room with a white sheet on the floor.  I think they turned out fairly well.  Hope you like.

Maui Book on Video from last year

This is for you Carrie.  It should print out on a higher resolution in the book I made, but enjoy

Being Healthy (And looking Great)

A friend of mine introduced me to her friend's blog where she has posted a "Get Fit Challenge." Now I didn't completely get the challenge info, but I thought that if I wanted to do something similar with my own circle of friends I would probably have more success.

Well, problem number one, quite a few of you are pregnant. Problem number two the rest of you are already skinny and (unlike myself) don't need to still loose 10-15 lbs from past pregnancies.

So, since I am the only one left who needs to stop hibernating this winter and get motivated, I am going to start upping my workout and focus more on my eating habits. If anyone would like to join me, let me know. My ending date will be June 10th and my reward will be to go out and buy a new cute summer outfit and a swimming suit. (Everything should be on sale by then because you know June means fall is just around the corner. Don't you love the way retail thinks.)

Email me, if you want to do this together. Pick your own plan, and then whatever it is "stick to it." We can keep tabs on each other and maybe actually motivate each other to be successful. To the rest of you, I hope you are having a great day.
