So that wonderful cold/flu sick bug found our home. Dad was the first casualty, then 4 days later Mom went down. Last Thursday (another 4 days later) Rebecca caught the bug, then today was Jake's turn. (Although Joey is rivaling the bug with croup.)
If any of you have children with Asthma or Allergies, you know that when cold and flu symptoms hit it's 10 times worse then the average person. Rebecca is no longer throwing up, but she can't stop coughing no matter how many breathing treatments and medicines we try. Joey is our marathon croup baby. Rebecca would go through an episode and it would only last a few hours during the night. Joey's croup doesn't stop. He sounds like this barking, gasping seal. It's so sad. Unfortunately it means that sleep becomes a luxury mom and dad don't get to fully enjoy. I think I was up from 2am to 4:30 either cleaning up vomit, or giving breathing treatments, and Chad helped at 2 but then got up at 5 and well, never really went back to bed. The joys of parenting.
The good news is that we ought to be on the up side of things unless Sara decides to get sick and Joey adds puking to his inability to breath well. But we are crossing our fingers and hoping to be done with this round. To the rest of you out there, I hope that you are all a little bit healthier then we are. Enjoy your week and hey, it's already February.

Ahhh!!! That is no fun at all!! Hope you guys are feeling better soon!!
We just got over three sleepless nights of croup - but no vomit (knock on wood). Hope your family heals quickly and you are healthy for the rest of the winter. Any news on San Antonio?
Geez, do these germs spread through the blogosphere? Because my kids had croup, too -- problem is, A got it Jan 18, H followed on the 23rd, and they *still* have lingering runny noses and mild coughs. We've already missed two Mom's Day Out days and will probably miss #3 on Thursday, all due to illness! Ack!
Diana, your hubby is a doctor, tell me how to get symptom-free in time for Thursday!
