Jake decided that for his birthday he wanted to hike up to the abandoned mine in Madera Canyon. The Hubers joined us on this one.
During the hike you come across a few tall rocks. Jake decided that since it was his birthday, he would pose as king of the mountain.
Eventually we made it to the mine and found ice on the rocks around the area. We thought it was cool because in AZ its already warm outside. (Note my son in a T-shirt and shorts.)
This was a fun mellow hike and after we returned home, Jake got to eat chocolate cake. I'd say the day was a success. Happy Birthday cutie!
